Chickadees Building A Nest In Old Tree

While out on A walk on one of my favorite hiking trails, I came across a pair of Black Cap Chickadees Building A Nest. They had selected an old dead tree where a woodpecker had been searching for bugs. In the video, you will see one of the chickadees going into the hole and bring out a beak full of wood shavings. They did this over and over for a better part of 20 minutes that I stood there and watched. I was so entertained and amazed at what I was watching, I almost forgot to record a short video.
